It's August and summer is halfway through here in the pacific northwest. It's such a bittersweet thing to look at your calendar and realize you have plans almost every single weekend until summer ends. I feel like we've had a wonderful, exciting, and adventurous summer so far. I struggled a lot last summer and the one before to feel like doing anything fun and exciting with Haden. It just felt like a lot of stuff and work to get to a place to find that he didn't even really understand what was going on or want to be there. This year has been a lot different in that aspect. I am really enjoying the age of two (despite the terrible tantrums) because I love seeing him experience, and enjoy, new things. His words and understanding are increasing daily. Every new saying, sentence, or word that pours out of his tiny little mouth is so exciting!
Sadie Quinn is experiencing her new milestones as well. Sitting up is officially on the list and I am even at the point where I feel comfortable not surrounding her with a pile of pillows! She's loving this new found position and seems to be much more content by the day. It's a welcome relief!
Of course the biggest thing I continue to work on as a mom and dreamer is balance. Blessed to have people in my life who help to encourage me and talk to. You know who you are. :)
