The Bond House

These photos are a little behind. I took them back in September at my in laws house, back before complete chaos of moving began for them. This house meant a lot to them- "them" being both my mother and father in law and their 14 children who all grew up in this house. I walked into this house almost 9 years ago and remember being captivated by the atmosphere of a large family- the way each and every person under that room brings a different dynamic, yet they all share the commonality to welcome newcomers with loving hospitality. I admired that.
This home meant a lot to me. It's where Kellen scribbled my name and phone number in permanent marker on the walls in high school. It's where we met for his prom (and I'm told by who was, at the time, the three year old, now 12, that I looked like a princess). Where we sat on the porch swing and talked about our future and dreamed of someday building a life of our own. It's where I told Wendy excitedly that I was pregnant with Haden and then again as I walked up the front porch steps two years later to excited aunts and uncles who had heard the news about Sadie Quinn. I've watched both my babies be held and played with and loved on here.
It means a lot to me, those walls.
But really, what meant the most was the love that lived inside them. I'm thrilled and excited to be apart of a new journey with them with all the same love but new walls and new memories. Until then, here's one last post in dedication to the last 9 years that Lightmoor court has welcomed me, among others, as a home away from home.

(side note: these photos only show who was there, on that particular evening, as was and is normal in the big Bond house- you never know exactly what or who to expect :) )
